Termed a shocker of a novel by the author, Bentley wrote this work at the suggestion of his friend, novelist John Buchan.
With two pages of publishers advertisements to the rear, and the stamp of Alfies Book Store to the front pastedown.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Bumping to spine head and tail, otherwise externally excellent. Booksellers stamp to front pastedown. Chipping to dust wrapper back strip head, with a small loss to back strip tail. Closed tear to head of front wrap. Light spotting to rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
