The DB (former West German State Railways) BR V36 diesel locomotive was given a new model number after the transfer of the WR360 C14 diesel locomotive to the DB, which was introduced by the Wehrmacht for military use before World War II.
The WR360 C14 diesel locomotive is a standard gauge military locomotive (Wehrmachtslokomotive Regelspur) with 360 horsepower, drive axle arrangement C means axle weight of about 14 tons, and between 1937 ~ 1950 Berlin Machine Manufacturing Company (BMAG), Deutz (Deutz), Ohlenstein & Koppel (O&K), Jung & Co., 279 tanks were built by the German Armament Factory (DWK), Henschel, Krupp and Machinbaukiel GmbH.
