Illustrated with a beautiful chromolithographic title page by Jose Roy, and with a further one-hundred and twenty vignette and full page illustrations by popular French illustrator and cartoonist Fernand Fau.
Collated, complete.
With a school prize bookplate, dated 1896, to the front free endpaper.
An uncommon science fiction tale.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with fading to back strip, and slight discolouration to perimeters of front board. Hinges lightly strained, but firmly held. Prize bookplate to front pastedown. Colour title page, half title, and frontispiece detached and loosely inserted, with work otherwise firmly bound. Pages bright, with instances of spotting and some foxing throughout. The odd closed tears to perimeters of leaves.
