DESCRIPTION
This treatise on singing birds was first issued in 1795 and was translated into many languages.
In a beautiful binding, with bird motifs to spine.
Bechstein was concerned with wildlife conservation and wrote many works for the calling of protecting animals that were often regarded as pests such as bats.
Illustrated, with a frontispiece and six plates.
CONDITION
In a quarter morocco binding, with cloth covered boards. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with just the odd spot.
