The first edition of this work in the second state coral pink pictorial cloth binding with grey end papers (Riall, 42).
Prize bookplate to the front paste down from Farnhill Primitive Methodist Sunday School, awarding this book as prize in 1923. Ink inscription to the front free end paper dated 1971.
Illustrated with a frontispiece and a further five black-and-white plates by the renowned Golden Age book illustrator Arthur Rackham (1867-1939). Collated, complete.
An adventure story by Charles Richard Kenyon, in which a Lost Race of Incans is discovered. Illustrated with early examples of Arthur Rackhams illustrations.

CONDITION
In the second state coral pink pictorial cloth binding with grey end papers. Externally generally smart, though somewhat faded, with shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd spot to the first and last couple of pages.
