Samuel Prout was a British watercolourist and one of the masters of watercolour architectural painting and was painter in water colours in ordinary to Queen Victoria.

With twenty two lithographic plates with multiple illustrations on each and an explanation of each plate in relation to light, shadow and composition.
Collated, complete.


CONDITION

In the publishers original green cloth binding. Externally, smart with some fading and bumping to the head and tail of the spine and some light marks to the boards. Some marks to the last few pages and a water mark to plate xxii. Internally, firmly bound with generally clean and bright pages.
