DESCRIPTION
All are in the original French.
Alphonse Daudet was a French novelist. He was a monarchist and opponent of the French Republic. Within Limmortel he bitterly attacks the Academie Francaise.
Tartarin of Tarascon (1887) is set in the provencal town of Tarascon which is enthusiastic about hunting, so much so that no game lives anywhere near and was first published in 1872. Tartarin de Tarascon is illustrated by J. Girardet, Montegut, de Myrbach, Picard and Rossi with many in-text illustrations. This volume has been rebound with the original paper wraps of LIllustration bound inside. A limited edition of one hundred copies.
LImmortel (1888) is another novel by Alphonse Daudet that considers the lives of Parisians.
LObstacle is a play in four acts with illustrations by De Bieler, Gambard, Marold and Montegut, dated 1891 from Jisc. With illustrations throughout the text.
Each volume has a bookplate to the front pastedown for Elizabeth Sherman Cameron.
