THIS RECORD IS FROM OUR PERSONAL COLLECTION. Well maintained.
*Because our clients are mostly jazz collectors and connoisseurs, as we are, we made it our policy to only sell vinyl that we grade in VERY GOOD (VG) condition or better. This vinyl is in our opinion a Very Good Plus, looks and plays great.
Record Grade VG+ = ONE OWNER. Purchased new in New York City in 1981. Looks and sounds great. Very well maintained. Just listened to both sides of the whole album with headphones on and it plays very beautiful. The vinyl looks beautiful. Little to no surface noise at all. No skips or jumps. Difficult to find this rare vintage stereo recording in such nice condition. (see pictures)
Jacket Grade VG+ = Very well maintained. We kept it on our shelf in plastic cover all these years. Comes with original paper inner sleeve. The jacket is very sturdy. Normal corner wear from regular shelf use. No writing, no tape. Firm spine. A strong clean jacket for a 38 year old album. (see pictures)

Robert Murray Gordon "Rob" McConnell (14 February 1935 - 1 May 2010) was a Canadian jazz trombonist, composer, and arranger. McConnell is best known for establishing and leading the big band The Boss Brass, which he directed from 1967 to 1999.
McConnell was born in London, Ontario and took up the valve trombone in high school. He began his performing career in the early 1950s, performing and studying with Clifford Brown, Don Thompson, Bobby Gimby, and later with Canadian trumpeter Maynard Ferguson. He studied music theory with Gordon Delamont. In 1968 he formed The Boss Brass, a big band that became his primary performing and recording unit through the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
Rob McConnell & The Boss Brass became one of Canadas most popular jazz ensembles, performing live and recording for Californias Concord Jazz label and a variety of others. Mel Tormé said of his first recording session with the Boss Brass in 1987, "Making this record was one of the two or three greatest musical experiences in my long and checkered career."
