Illustrated by Tad and Edgren with a frontispiece photographic portrait of Nelson, vignettes and 26 full page illustrations and photographs.
This autobiographical work was written by lightweight champion boxer Oscar Battling Mathew Nelson. Battling Nelson was a Danish-Born professional boxer who was also nicknamed The Durable Dane. The work documents his work and career and includes cartoon style illustrations throughout.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth. Externally very good with bumping to the spine resulting in minor small closed tears to the cloth to the tail of the spine, handling marks and light rubbing to the spine and boards. Light offsetting to the rear end papers. Internally firmly bound with generally clean and bright pages with very light age toning and the odd minor mark.
